Glove Care Guide

The glove care guide is designed to help you get the most life and grip out of your gloves.  If you require any additional help please contact us via the link below.

PLEASE NOTE: Goalkeeping gloves will wear over time and may show signs of wear from the first use. This is due to the softness of the materials used to help give the best grip. Technique, playing surface, weather conditions and how you care and pre wash the gloves will all play a factor in the life span of the gloves.

Below are a few steps to help you get the most out of your gloves and some tried and tested advice for caring, washing and storing your goalkeeping gloves.

Brand New Gloves

Your brand new pair of goalkeeping gloves have just arrived and here are a few steps to follow to ensure you get the most out of your new purchase.

  • Remove all packing and protective film (if contact or aerTek latex)

  • Hand wash your gloves in luke warm water gently running the water on to the palm  and inside  the glove

  • Rub the palms together while wet and gently rub the palm with your fingers to remove any chemicals or other items used in the production process

  • Allow your gloves to dry naturally but do not allow to dry completely, ensure they are kept moist

Pre and During Training/Games

Pre training/game ensure your gloves are moist-damp (depending on latex and personal preference) with a quick rinse through.

During the warm up find the tackiness of the gloves and use water to keep the gloves in this tacky zone. In wet/muddy sessions use a towel to get excess water and mud off of the palm to allow the latex to work.

Post Training/Game

Post training/game it is important you wash your gloves to remove any dirty that can be harmful to the latex and affect the gloves performance in future. Here are some key points for washing your gloves.
